How to survive holidays overindulging?


There is a lot of rich food to be enjoyed at this time of year. Tasting everything is so tempting! But it can take a toll on your energy and tummy. Especially if you’re going to several events in one day and enjoy some good wines and spirits with it. The next time you find you’ve over-indulged try this:


Peppermint

As Aroma Lovers, most of you have this common essential oil in their pantry.

To avoid the afternoon slump, I love to add 1 drop of peppermint to a glass of water after lunch. It's perfect to support digestion and get your energy levels back up. It replaces my after-lunch coffee most of the time. Peppermint (Mentha x Piperita), is a top player in digestive support, it helps with spasms, indigestion, and discomfort. Happy Digest Synergy

With predominant anis and minty aromas, this synergy is made of essential oils known to stimulate digestion, decrease, bloating, and decrease nausea. Taking in prevention of a hangover is quite effective too! Enjoy one to two drops in a glass of water before and after dinner, and feel like a feather throughout the holiday season!   • 5 drops Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)

  • 4 drops Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum)

  • 3 drops Ginger (Zingiber officinale)

  • 3 drops Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum Nobile)

The oils listed above are known to stimulate digestion, reduce nausea, and ease an upset stomach. To make a personal inhaler, add the essential oils on the cotton wick provided with the blank inhaler or on a cotton ball that you'll keep in a sealed bag. Inhale deeply a few times when needed.
